School Bio

Gifford is a non-profit, coeducational, therapeutic day school in Weston, Massachusetts. Established in 1964 (originally in Cambridge), we serve approximately 100 students from within a 50 mile radius. Gifford balances educational and clinical approaches to foster students' talents and strengths and address their individual needs. We offer: Small class sizes grouped by academic functional level and taught by appropriately licensed teachers A broad umbrella of clinical services to address complex social and emotional presentations Language-based instruction that incorporates visual, auditory and hands-on learning based on the Massachusetts Frameworks Transition planning for high school students including postsecondary planning, vocational programming, community volunteer opportunities and life skills development A summer program to prevent substantial regression in social, emotional and academic learning
