Located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, Mountain Lake Academy offers students ages 12 to 21 the opportunity to achieve their maximum potential by enhancing four areas of growth: intellectual, physical, emotional and social. Our holistic, family-oriented approach combines an experiential based program with an outstanding educational curriculum to deliver proven results. Professional educators, clinicians, and residential counselors work as a team to assist young men in taking control of their lives. A multi-disciplinary approach seamlessly integrates academics, sports, recreation, clinical services, and residential life, delivered in a highly structured, yet nurturing environment. A healthy lifestyle is integral to our program. Students receive wholesome and nutritional meals, as well as a wide variety of sports and recreational activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and team sports. The campus also features a full-sized indoor gymnasium and a state-of-the-art high and low ropes course erected in 2018. Additionally, Mountain Lake Academy students have access to numerous cultural and recreational activities available throughout the Lake Placid region.
