At the heart of our educational philosophy is the deep understanding that everyone learns differently, not just students who have been diagnosed with a specific challenge. Learning differently is typical at Dearborn – even if it wasn’t at a student’s previous school. We also know students flourish with the right support and in the right environment. These assumptions define our culture and approach. We don’t expect or require students to be any certain way. We invite them to come as they are, and we will meet them wherever that is. Every Dearborn student arrives with a different baseline. Our job is to understand that starting place and figure out how to get each student to their own next level.
