Hello. My name is Audrey Eisenberg and I am a learning specialist and NYS certified special education teacher. With over 7 years of professional experience in the field, I am able to provide academic tutoring in reading, writing and math for children with exceptional abilities from the ages of kindergarten through fifth grade. I am trained in Constable Literacy Procedures, a systematic phonics approach rooted in speech science and will be receiving training in Orton Gillingham during the summer of 2021. I am trained in Judith Hochman's basic writing skills and The Writing Revolution and can provide math tutoring using Woodin Math, Stern Structural Arithmetic and Math in Focus as well as support in other NYS approved math programs. I use informal assessment to intervene and support children using a blend of data driven and holistic approaches to reach their goals. I am familiar with writing and using IEPs and can use the targeted goals as guidelines for our sessions. I build strong relationships with my students and have a wide range of behavioral and management strategies to use with all children. I believe that all children can succeed with the right support and am here to work collaboratively with your child and your family.

At this point, I am only providing virtual tutoring through Zoom. Beginning March 2021, I can provide in person tutoring either at your home or in a common area of my building using mask protocol.
